NASA - Kennedy Space Center

Second day of the stay in Orlando was a break from the world of Disney, and on to a tour of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. According to info before we left Australia, there should have been a shuttle launch during our week in Florida, but this was delayed - although we did get to see it on the launchpad. Fascinating place - seeing some of space explorations past (original Apollo craft, real moon rock), the present (Space Shuttle on the launch pad), and future (seeing a piece of the International Space Station under construction - in its sealed environment). A memorable day.
