London - Millennium Done

After the New Year celebrations, we remained in London for a few days. Two of these were spent visiting the Millennium Dome at Greenwich.  Under clouds of controversy, the Dome opened on New Years Eve, and was to be open for the whole of the year 2000.  So, we were some of the earliest visitors.  At this stage, there was some novelty to the Dome, and it was extremely busy.  There were massive crowds and long queues.  Even so, we all enjoyed it, and definitely needed the full 2 days to see everything.
